Straight out of Watsonville, California, Kabwasa’s making his voice heard with his latest single “Minorities.” Inspired by the everyday hardships faced by minorities in his hometown and around the world, Kabwasa sheds light on the struggle over a hard-hitting beat that features a thudding 808 and distorted trumpet samples. Toward the end of the song he brings in the voice of Cesar Chavez to emphasize his point, adding a quote from the famous activist reminding us of how minorities often have to work twice as hard to find success.
